Common Council Determined To Get Out Of Debt Before The End Of Their Term

Common Council holding a special meeting to decide what priorities need to be looked at before the end of their term.

Mayor Mel Norton says the main priority right now is getting Saint John out of debt.

The city is currently $2.8 million in debt, mainly due to the increase of snow removal last winter.

Norton says the new city manager Jeff Trail will look at the ideas council presented to determine the next step.

The matter will be discussed again at the council meeting on the 28th of this month.
