Maine CDC Sounds Alarm On Rabies Cases

Charlotte — Deblois — Baileyville — and Pleasant Point.

Those are the four areas in Maine in which positive cases for rabies have been discovered this summer. All four cases were raccoons.

The Maine Center for Disease Control is sounding the alarm for people to get their pets and livestock vaccinated.

They also warn to stay away from any wild or stray animals — and not to touch bats.
