David Bernard Griffin

June 30, 1944  –  April 22, 2026

It is with profound sadness that the family of David Griffin announces his passing, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on April 22, 2026.

Born on June 30, 1944, in Saint John, New Brunswick, he was the son of Francis and Veronica (McBride) Griffin.

David was a good man, that always tried to help others. Even if he didn’t have the means to do so, he would always find a way. All throughout his life, he opened up his house to those in need with no questions asked.

David never asked for any sort of payment for his help, and he was always grateful to lend a hand. Even if you did him wrong, he was always forgiving, and he continued to help where he could.

He was a guardian angel to many, including his daughter, Yvonne. His Christian faith was very important to him, and he had the kindest soul. Anyone who knew David knew how hard he fought to keep his family and friends safe and happy.

Not only did he work an average of 12 hours a day to provide for everyone, but he also taught the value of caring and being there for your family. He gave everything he had to support the ones he loved, and he was the strongest person that his family knew.

David will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Yvonne Griffin, nephew Stephen Griffin, nieces Janice Griffin, Lori Griffin and Nancy Muise, as well as granddaughters Kennedi Crossman, and Christeena Mullett.

David was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Virginia Griffin, his Wife, Marilyn Griffin, and son Trevor Griffin.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, New Brunswick, (506) 634 7424. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will follow the next day, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, starting at 2:00 PM in Holy Cross Cemetery.
