The family of David Olmstead Wilson of Saint John, cherished husband of Theresa (Quinlan) Wilson, announce his passing, which occurred on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by his precious loved ones. Born on May 21, 1937 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Percy and Reta (Curwin) Wilson.
Prior to his retirement, David was employed with Nortel for many years. He loved going for car drives, travelling, gardening, kitties and animals of all kinds. David was a member of Main Street Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, Theresa, David will be lovingly remembered by his grandson, Bryan Drost (Misty Boyne); great-granddaughter, Daneka Drost; his late daughter’s partner, Ross Linton; as well as many cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Donna Wilson.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visitation taking place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 12:00 PM and will be immediately followed by a reception. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
