George Douglas Reicker

July 5, 1951  –  April 15, 2026

It is with great sadness that the family of George Douglas Reicker announces his passing which occurred on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sussex, NB, on July 5, 1951, he was a son of the late Denton and Frances (Ketchum) Reicker.

George spent nearly 40 years working as a truck driver and was well respected in his field, earning multi-million-mile accident-free awards throughout his career. In his spare time, he had a deep passion for working on cars, and his pride and joy was his Camaro, which he spent four years meticulously building using parts from five different vehicles. After completing it in 2001, he proudly entered his first car show, where he earned second place. He especially enjoyed long drives with his wife, Holly, and together they were proud members of the Valley Cruises Car Club for five years.

George cherished his friends and family above all else. His grandsons were his greatest joy, and he loved nothing more than spending time with them and sharing laughter.

George leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Holly (Doucette) Reicker; his children, Andrew Reicker (Carolyn), Heidi Robichaud (Roy), William Lockhart (Ann Marie); special sister-in-law, Crystal Doucette – who he raised as his own; grandchildren, Jaxson Reicker, Brandon Robichaud, Keith Robichaud, Ryder Hopkins; brothers, Malcolm Reicker (Sally), Paul Reicker (Syliva), Nathan Reicker (Ginny), Phillip Reicker; sisters, Elizabeth Cameron (Raymond), Evelyn Hayes (Danny), Eleanor Cooper (Jimmy), Beverly Johnson, Barb Reicker; as well several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
