October 10, 1968 ~ June 11, 2026 (age 57)
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Heather Joyce Duplessis, which occurred on Thursday, June 11th, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 10th, 1968, in Toronto, ON, she is the daughter of the late Hazel MacGregor. Heather loved to watch true crime and cooking shows. She enjoyed reading the bible and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride & joy and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Heather is survived by her sons Matthew Chalmers (Malik) and Jonathan Chalmers (Diana) all of Toronto; daughter Stephanie Weare (Kevin) of Saint John; brother Dominic Gallo of Toronto; sisters-in-law Margaret Dunbar (Bob) and Rosie Bourque (Bob) all of Saint John; grandchildren Emmajean, James and Lillian; special friend Tabitha; nieces and nephews Bobby (Lisa), Trina (Sean), Gloria, Connor, Robbie, Braeden, Cara, Josie (Nick), Andrew, Olivia and Jackson. Along with her mother, Heather was predeceased by her husband Martyn.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), with visitation taking place on Wednesday, June 17th from 1 to 2 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Fundy chapel beginning at 2 p.m. The family has provided the opportunity for those unable to attend the funeral service, to participate via livestream.
