October 22, 1947 ~ June 9, 2026 (age 78)
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our sister, Phyllis Virginia O’Donnell on June 9, 2026, at the age of 78 years old. Phyllis was the third daughter of Arthur William and Frances Loyola (McAdam) O’Donnell.
Born at home in South Johnville, New Brunswick, Phyllis graduated from the Bath High School and went on to take Business courses. She then moved to Saint John, N.B. and worked for several companies until securing a position in the Finance Department with the City of Saint John. She eventually retired there and was very content living on her own in Saint John.
Phyllis is survived by her closest confident “Oliver” the cat, her sister, Agnes and her brothers, Charles (Rayma) and Raymond (Ann), sister-in-law Barbara, close friend, Cyril Monahan, as well as several nieces and nephews whom she thought dearly of.
Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her brother Neil, sister Monica and brother-in-laws, Gerald Crum and Lawrence Sweeney.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB, E2J 2G3; (506)646-2424. As per Phyllis request, there will be no funeral service at this time. For those wishing to honour Phyllis, a donation can be made to a charity of their choice.
