Jean Claude, formerly Burton Cecil Mann, went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, from the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex, New Brunswick on April 2, 2026. Jean Claude was born on May 28, 1935 in Tide Head, NB. He was the son of the late Cecil and Elsie (nee Thomas) Mann.
Jean Claude graduated with honours from Fredericton Business College in 1955. He also attended Concordia University in the BA program. He had a varied working life during which he was employed by Loundbury Company in NB, CP Rail in Montreal and Toronto, and CN Rail, R.L. Crain, and 3M in Montreal.
Jean Claude is survived by sisters, Phyllis Pozer, and Ruby (Gerald) Craswell; brother, Ken. He was predeceased by sister, Greta.
All who knew Jean Claude found him to be of a kind and gentle nature. He sought to live at peace with others and find the good in each one.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). There will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be at a later date at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Cemetery in Tide Head, NB.
