July 2, 1967 – April 27, 2026
It is with profound sadness that the family of Kevin Justin McCarty, 58, announces his sudden passing on April 27, 2026. He was born on July 2, 1967, and lived a life defined by hard work, quiet strength, and a deep appreciation for nature.
Kevin was a devoted blue-collar worker through the late 1990s and early 2000s, known by those who worked alongside him as dependable, skilled, and always willing to lend a hand. A true jack of all trades, he took pride in his craftsmanship, whether painting, fixing, building, or tackling whatever job needed doing. If something was broken, Kevin could usually make it right. Outside of work, Kevin found peace in nature. He loved fishing and spending time outdoors, where he felt most at home. Those moments reflected his steady, grounded spirit, he was patient, observant, and quietly content. Kevin was more than his work ethic and hobbies; he was a dedicated father and stepfather who showed up, supported, and cared deeply. He was someone his family could count on without hesitation. His presence brought reassurance, and his actions spoke louder than words ever could. He had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether through a kind gesture, a shared laugh, or simply being there when it mattered, Kevin touched many lives in meaningful ways. He will be remembered as a good man who was hardworking, reliable, and deeply caring. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his son, Kevin Jr. McCarty, his siblings, Ella McCarty and George Morris, his nieces, LaDawn and Jennelle Clarke, his great-nephew, Jayshawn Dixon, his uncle, his aunts, cousins, his extended loving family.
Kevin was predeceased by his mother, Elaine McCarty-Koivisto.
