Loretta Jean Ann Brideau

October 1, 1960  –  December 22, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Loretta Jean Ann Brideau, who passed away on December 22, 2025, at the Saint John Regional hospital at the age of 65.

Loretta faced many hardships and challenges throughout the years, but she would always prevail and would continue to carry on as resilient as she was.

She was a loving Mother and those who knew her, knew she loved deeply and wholeheartedly. Her smile was one that could melt anyone’s heart. She loved music and dancing in her earlier years. She enjoyed cooking for family and could throw a gourmet meal together with whatever ingredients she had.

She is survived by her children, Michael Brideau and Christine Brideau, 2 grandchildren, Dakota Brideau and Haylie Brideau, Aunt Karen Keirstead and Uncles Stephen Brideau (Mary), Carl Brideau (Esther), Keith Brideau, Wayne Brideau (Gail) and many friends she made over the years. Also survived by her boyfriend of many years, Steve Martin.

Predeceased by her Mother Marie Crosbie, Grandparents Edmond and Marjorie Brideau, Aunt Doreen Eddy and Uncle Eugene Brideau.

We will all carry her memories and cherish the good times.

Family would like to express their gratitude to the Nurses and Doctors in the Emergency Department and also on 4BN. Many thanks to Anna Girdwood of Laura Manor Special Care Home for the care she gave to our mother.

In Loretta’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.

The arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (506 634 1701). Cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A celebration of Loretta’s life will take place at a time to be announced in the spring of 2026.
