It is with sadness the family of Gladys “Marie” Wright (Flowers) announce her passing on January 7, 2026 at Bobby’s Hospice. She was born on June 13, 1942, in Petawawa, Ontario to the late Cecil and Gladys (nee Cody) Flowers.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Nicholas Wright. She is also survived by five brothers: Harry (Barb), Roy (Lucy), Warren, Reginald (Janice), Bill (Sharon); four sisters: Mary Lou Splude (late Doug Deuville), Bonnie Marino (late Joe), Nancy Golding (late Tim Aspen), Kimberley Bosfet (Dean); many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Marie is predeceased by her brother Cecil, sisters: Phyllis Flowers, Betty Ann Addison (late Douglas).
Marie was a devoted loving wife, sister, and friend. Marie and Nick lived in Montreal from 1960 until 1981 when they returned to Saint John. Marie and Nick operated M&N Convenience Store on Prince Edward Street for 17 years.

In respecting Marie’s wishes, cremation has taken place; no services will be held. Marie’s family would like to thank Dr. Ataellhi and Bobby’s Hospice for the care and compassion shown to her. Donations in Marie’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
