April 16, 1957 – April 28, 2026
With broken hearts, the family of Marsha (Walton) Saltzman, loving wife of the late Edward “Ed” Saltzman, announce her unexpected passing at home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Born April 16, 1957, in Saint John, she was a daughter of George and Mary Jeanette (Doucette) Walton.
Marsha was the kind of person who brought warmth, laughter, and light wherever she went. From the
moment you met her, she made you feel seen, welcome, and cared for. She lived generously—always
making time for others and giving her love freely, whether to family, friends, or strangers. She worked in
customer facing positions, the role she treasured most was that of matriarch of her family, which she led
with fierce love and joy. She was a fierce lover of animals and children, finding pure happiness in a baby’s laugh or the wag of a furry tail. She delighted in bowling nights, coffee dates with friends, lively
family gatherings, and spontaneous water fights with kids of every age. Her laughter remains one of her
greatest gifts, and it will continue to echo in our hearts forever.
Marsha is survived by her daughter, Laura Saltzman (Gerald Mallet); sons, Lester Perry and George Perry (April Cameron); grandchildren, Liam and Rosalyn Perry; sisters, Lorraine Taylor and Mary Jeanette Walton; sisters-in-law, Lois Walton, Darlene Johnston, (Brian Johnston); brother-in-law, Mark Saltzman; nieces: Dawn Marie Chetley, Amy Walton, Courtney Myers, Kendra Johnston, and Jennifer McLaughlin.
Besides her parents and her husband, Marsha was predeceased by her brothers, George and Gerald
Walton, and brother-in-law, Mike Taylor.
