With heavy hearts, the family of Robert Young, loving partner of Carol Landry, announces his unexpected passing on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at his home in Willow Grove. Born January 25, 1963, in Saint John, he was a son of Rose Marie (Wood) Young and the late Ben Young.
Robert was a Longshoreman, working at the Port for many years. He was his siblings’ favourite brother, and had a special relationship with his nephews Owen, Evan, and William. He was funny and caring and had a way of keeping in contact with all of his friends. He took care of his mom well and loved to stop by with a hot coffee for her. He was Carol’s best friend and the most understanding, caring, and loving person.
Besides his mom, Rose, and the love of his life, Carol, Robert will be missed by his brothers: Ben Young, Harold Young (Connie McCombs), and Charles Young; his beloved sister, Julie Young (Sean Doyle); Carol’s daughters, Michelle Landry-Pennington (Charles) and their daughter, Evelyne, and Annik Landry (Grant Beck); as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), where visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 11 am from Saint-Franҫois-de-Sales, 77 Ragged Point Road in Saint John, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery and a reception at Brenan’s Reception Centre.
