The death of Rose Marie Prokipczuk wife of the late George Prokipczuk occurred on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Saint john, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Melanie (Guimond) Comeau.
She will be missed by her brother Luke Comeau, granddaughters; Heather (Kurt) Barton, Christina (Alex) Davidson, great grandchildren; Lucas, Logan, and Willow Barton, and Edwin and Aurora Davidson, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by three brothers and seven sisters.
She served 13 years in RCN Reserve achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer 2nd class. At the time of her retirement, she was employed 23 years with District 8 School Board.
Rose Marie was a life long member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3. At her request there will be no visitation or funeral Mass. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances in her memory may be made to the Assumption Church Building Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
