It is with great sadness that we announce Sharon Anne Watson passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by family.
Born on July 14, 1954, in Newcastle, NB, to Leo and Margaret Woods, Sharon was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was predeceased by her father Leo Woods, beloved husband, Art Watson, and brother Brian Woods.
Sharon is survived by her mother Margaret Woods, daughter Lisa Armstong (Tyler), son Mike Watson (Crystal), brother David Woods (Anne), sisters; Mary Woods (Scott Grasman) and Peggy Power (Billy). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren; Lauren and Seth Armstrong, and Brayden, Colton and Lara Watson, and several nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Sharon was known for her kindness and work ethic. She operated an in-home daycare for several years while raising her children and later enjoyed her time working at the Co-Op and the Great Canadian Dollar Store. Sharon and Art shared a love for travel, particularly enjoying their trips to Cuba. Above all, she treasured time with her family, frequently attending her grandchildren’s hockey and basketball games, and enjoyed the company of her “Golden Girls” friends and playing bingo.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. In keeping with Sharon’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers donations in Sharon’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
