Organigram Continues To Hire In Advance Of Legalization of Pot

As the legalization date for marijuana approaches, the expansion continues at the Organigram plant in Moncton, and that means a need for new staff.

CEO Greg Engel says they saw around two hundred people attend a job fair last month, “We have filled most of our finance team and IT and client services. We are still are looking for expertise for logistics and a few other areas. A lot of this hiring is really focussed on packaging expertise, people who have worked in packaging line and areas such as that.”

Engel says they are over 300 employees now, but they are looking to hire another 100 to 120 over the next couple of months.

Recreational marijuana will be legalized in Canada on October 17th.
