Quispamsis Parents Will Receive Letters Soon On New School

Construction continues on a new elementary school in Quispamsis.

Superintendent Zoe Watson tells CHSJ News letters will be sent out the famillies of the new students about the naming of the school and the new boundaries.
She points out it’s quite a process opening a new school and the letters will assure parents there will be a transition plan.

Watson says they are on schedule to open the school next September and they hope to announce the principal before Christmas.

More than 80 suggestions on a name for the new school were submitted by the community and three of those have been submitted off the Minister of Education Serge Rouselle for a decision. Watson says they think the new principal will likely begin work after the March break.
