Rothesay To Build Waste Water Treatment Plant

Rothesay may be left hanging when it comes to provincial funding for the new arena and field house but as we hear from Mayor Bill Bishop, the first phase of a 20 million dollar waste water treatment plant is moving forward this year.

Bishop says that means the phasing out of two sewage lagoons in K-Park and one in Fairvale with the waste water treated before release into the Kennebecasis River.

He says the town decided to be proactive and move forward with the waste water treatment plant ahead of anticipated federal regulations.
