Sea Dogs Forward Signed By The Islanders

Exciting news for Saint John Sea Dogs forward William Dufour.

Dufour has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the New York Islanders.

The announcement was made on Thursday by the NHL team.

Dufour, 20, leads the QMJHL in goals (52) and points (109) through 61 games this season.

His current point total of 109 is also a new Saint John single-season record for points.

Dufour has recorded 12 multi-goal games so far this season and has only gone pointless five times.

The Islanders selected Dufour in the fifth round of the 2020 NHL Draft.
