STORM CENTRAL: Blizzard Brings Saint John To A Standstill

Yet another blizzard bringing heavy snowfall, strong wind gusts and absolutely bone-chilling temperatures to Southern New Brunswick.

Environment Canada meteorologist Richard Lafortune says the snow will continue to fall throughout the day. He says it should die down for our region by early tomorrow morning. By the time it’s all over, Fredericton and St. Stephen should see between 15-20 centimetres of snow while Saint John is expected to get between 20-30 and Moncton is closer to 40.

Lafortune says they’re keeping an eye on another storm system that is expected to strike late Tuesday, affecting mostly Saint John and Moncton and possibly Fredericton – however it’s a bit too early to know the details.

Police in Saint John and KV both advising you to stay home today and off the roads if possible as conditions have deteriorated and visbility is very low.
