City police releasing more information on the death of child on Christmas Day.
They were called to a townhouse in the north end just before 2pm on December 25th for a medical call following a report of a small child falling.
Officers arriving on the scene found out from the paramedics that the 26 month old boy was unconscious and unresponsive.
The child was transported to the Regional Hospital and soon after he was pronounced dead.
Police are waiting for the results of a pathologist’s report which is expected to take some time.
