Canada’s two newest astronauts have been announced.
Joshua Kutryk and Dr. Jennifer Sidey were chosen, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau officially made their names know on Canada Day.
The two newest candidates are both from Alberta.

Almost 3800 applicants applied, that included Alex DeLorey, who was originally from Riverview, New Brunswick.
He made it as far as the top 17.
This was the fourth astronaut recruitment campaign of Canada’s history.
