Woman Charged With Drug Possession

A woman has been arrested after being found with a quantity of drugs in her car Sunday.

Saint John Police say around 6:50 AM yesterday they noticed a car driving suspiciously uptown, in an area they say is known for drug use.

After running the plates, they pulled the car over as it was heading westbound on Harbour Bridge.

Police say the woman driving falsely identified herself at first, and was later found to be in violation of conditions in a previous arrest.

She was arrested and searched, and was found with two grams of crystal meth, and 6.5 grams of cocaine, all packaged for possible resale. There was also a number of pills.

She has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and has been remanded pending a court appearance Tuesday.
