February 15, 1963 – October 30, 2026
The family of John Mallory is deeply saddened to announce his peaceful passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 30, 2026 after a courageous battle against cancer.
John was born in Saint John and lived most of his life in Millidgeville, close to his beloved Royal Kennebeccasis Yacht Club. He was a 40 year member and was proud to introduce his girls to sailing, enjoying many wonderful memories cruising the Saint John River on Cumulus and later Tsunami.
John enjoyed a long career as an Allstate Agent beginning in 1999, having built his East Saint John Agency from the ground up. He received national recognition numerous times for his success.
John and Kim enjoyed many wonderful travel adventures, but his favourite times were those spent walking the beaches in Florida with family. Our family cottage on the Washademoak allowed him to return to his favourite fishing spot at Colwells Creek and to meet up with old friends.
John went above and beyond for his family, helping to ensure their happiness and well-being, always making sure we had a “Plan B”. He will lovingly be missed by his wife, Kim (his best friend); his daughters, Alexandra (Scott) and Caroline (Connor); his granddaughters, Jane and Savannah and her older siblings, Devin and Jynessa. His mother, Ollie and mother-in-law, Norma Brown, held a special place in his heart.
On behalf of John, his family wish to thank Dr. R. Stevenson, Kerrin, Hilary, Dr. Graham McIntyre, Dr. Michael and his nurse, Kim, along with the Palliative Care Team.
In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
For those who wish, donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or a charity of one’s choice.
